Quality Manager

The job holder manages the Quality Assurance department. She/he acts as the representative for quality within tSH, defines and implements the quality strategy and objectives and ensures that these tPS quality standards and goals are met.
In order to achieve these goals, he implements and maintains a QMS in the company. The job holder manages local raw material suppliers under Supplier Development programs to meet tesa’s quality requirement.
Acting as a management team member and in cross functional teams, She/he defines, sets and maintains the standards of product conformance to meet customer requirements.
Workflow
• Draws up, review or approve quality control procedures, work instructions and workflow plans pertaining to quality activities.
• Analyse quality control reports/data to identify trends, deviations and non-conformances. Decides on action to be taken on non-conformances
Quality Control documentation
• The jobholder is responsible for the conformity of all documentation to quality system requirements.
• Material and product specifications
• Champions, checks, approves and maintains
• Sampling, inspection and control plans
• Laboratory scope
• Product identification and control system

Quality Control Reporting
Submits reports on quality performance covering supplier performance (Incoming Inspection of raw materials), incidence of non- compliances, customer complaints, and internal rejects at regular intervals. Prepares, reviews and approves test reports for internal and external customers when required.

Product Certification
• Maintains product certification.
• Liaises and coordinates with product certification bodies for all inspections and audits of the certified product


New specifications, formulations or Material Testing
• Works in development project teams across departments.
• Prepares testing work orders based on instructions from research and development department.
• Monitors and coordinates correct and timely issue of testing work orders to production department.
• Coordinates with production department to ensure testing is run according to schedule and inspection and test is conducted according to testing plans

Quality Management System
• Review and set quality objectives and related trainings.
• Reviews and approves all quality procedures, work instruction, amendments and improvements to the
Quality Management System.
• Administers control and distribution of Quality Manual, Procedure Manual, Work instruction Manual and

Reference Manual.
• Advises development project teams in documentation according to the company’s QMS Standards.
• Reports on performance of QMS to the Company for review and as a basis for improvement of system.
• Act as QMS representative for the company.

Customer Complaint, Non-conformance Handling and Corrective and Preventive Action
• Investigates and reviews customer complaints and non-conformances.
• Reviews and approves disposition of non-conforming materials or products.
• Establishes and maintains a system of corrective and preventive action to ensure effective elimination of actual and potential deficiencies within the QMS.


Quality System Audit
• Plans and coordinates periodic internal quality audit. Liaises and coordinates with external organization for all QMS issues and external auditors, on behalf of the Company.
• Ensures timely and effective action is taken by appropriate departments to maintain integrity of QMS.
• Consolidates quality system audit reports for periodic management review meetings

Performance & Talent Management
• Establish a plan to identify, develop, direct, encourage and motivate subordinates in the department to achieve the company’s overall objectives.
• Setting, communicating and monitoring department and individual performance targets
• Conducting performance reviews and interviews.
• Secure subordinate succession and backup planning.

Educational qualifications

Bachelor’s degree majoring in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering

Relevant experience

• Min 5 years with quality management leadership in multinational company
• Experience with setup quality system (IATF16949) for new organizations
• Fluent both written and oral in English.
